Stephanie Speidel is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Employee Assistance Professional, and National Certified Counselor dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with clarity, compassion, and confidence. She attended the University at Buffalo where she earned her BA before she went on to earn her Master's Degree in Mental Health at Medaille University. Stephanie is certified in the Gottman Method Levels I & II and has also completed ATAP training on Advanced Threat Assessment.
With more than a decade of experience in mental health counseling, Stephanie has supported adults through anxiety, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, self-esteem concerns, and emotional overwhelm. Her approach to therapy is grounded in the belief that meaningful healing happens through genuine human connection, trust, and personalized care.
Stephanie understands that reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable. That’s why she works to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe enough to be honest, explore what’s weighing on them, and begin moving toward meaningful change at their own pace.
Her therapeutic style combines evidence-based counseling approaches with warmth, authenticity, and practical guidance. She helps clients uncover the patterns that may be keeping them stuck while building the tools needed for emotional resilience, self-awareness, and lasting personal growth.
As the founder of Genesis Mental Health, Stephanie is passionate about making compassionate mental health care feel approachable and human. She believes therapy is not about “fixing” people — it’s about helping them better understand themselves, overcome obstacles, and create a more fulfilling, balanced life.
Stephanie specializes in anxiety therapy, trauma-informed counseling, emotional wellness support, and helping clients navigate life transitions with greater confidence and clarity.
Stephanie is a loving wife and devoted mother. In her spare time, she loves to collect comically oversized mugs, play card games, and read.
She enjoys art, animals, spending time at the gym, and playing with her three children.
